Privacy Policy

What this is
Who we are. Rosette is operated by Rosette Dog LLC, a Texas limited liability company in Irving, Texas. Contact us at hello@rosette.dog.
The short version. If you use Rosette without an account, your dog’s details never leave your device. If you join the waitlist we hold your email address to tell you when we launch. If you sign in, we store your dogs’ names, breeds, weights and life stages so they appear on your other devices. We do not sell anything about you, and we do not run advertising.

What we collect›
Dog profiles, on your device. Names, breeds, weights, life stages and sex are stored in your browser’s local storage. Without an account this stays on your device and we cannot see it. Clearing your browser data deletes it — use the export button to keep a copy.
Dog profiles, if you sign in. The same fields are copied to our database so they sync across your devices. Nothing else about the dog is stored: no photos, no location, no health records, no vet notes.
Account details. If you sign in with Google or Apple we receive your email address and a unique account identifier. We do not receive your password, and we never see it.
Waitlist email. If you give us an email address we use it once, to tell you Rosette has launched, plus anything you explicitly ask for. Unsubscribe any time.
Basic site analytics. Aggregate page views and referrers, with no cookies and no cross-site tracking. We cannot identify you from it.

Affiliate links: some product links earn us a commission at no extra cost to you. Following one takes you to the retailer, who has their own privacy policy. Emergency, safety and end-of-life pages carry no product links at all.
What you can do
Your choices›
Use Rosette without an account. Everything works. Nothing leaves your device.
Export your data. The account panel downloads everything we hold about your dogs as a file you keep.
Delete everything, yourself. The app’s account panel has three controls: remove the dogs from this device, delete the cloud copy, or delete the account and everything in it. You do not need to ask us. If you would rather we did it, email hello@rosette.dog — we confirm within 30 days and usually the same week.
If you are in California, the EU or the UK, you have rights to access, correct, delete and port your data, and to object to processing. Email us and we will honor them — we would do it anyway.

If something goes wrong›
Our commitment if there is a data breach. If personal information is exposed, we will: tell affected people by email within 72 hours of confirming it; say plainly what was exposed and what was not; say what we are doing about it; and tell you what you should do. We will not wait for a legal deadline, and we will not bury it. We would rather tell you about something that turned out to be nothing than stay quiet about something that was not.
Reporting a vulnerability. Email safety@rosette.dog or see security.txt. We will respond, we will not threaten you, and we will credit you if you want it.

Children›
Rosette is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has given us data, email us and we will remove it.
Changes›
If we change this policy we will update the date above, and we will email waitlist members about anything that materially affects them.
