From the Chow Chow line: Entropion, hip/elbow dysplasia, hypothyroidism, bloat, glaucoma; heat intolerance | From the Chinese Shar-Pei line: Shar-Pei fever/amyloidosis (breed-specific), entropion (most need eye surgery evaluation), skin fold infections, allergies, ear problems
BOTH parent lines carry risk for: entropion. This is the important one to understand - crossing does NOT dilute a risk that both lines share, and 'hybrid vigor' does not apply here. Ask for testing on BOTH sides for these.
